hello there,
We are buying a new machine from beam dynamics ( 500 watt )
and we need an air compressor for air assist cutting.

Anyone can help me find a good air compressor.

The machine requires a dry filtered air.
specification are as follow :

Inlet pressure:
160 PSI / 10.88 Bar

Assist Gas Flow:>

Pressure_______Flow CFH
20 _____________50
40______________85
60______________100
100 _____________115
150______________135

thank you again

I can be of just a faint bit of help. 160PSI=10.88 bar.

CFH is cubic feet per hour. Apparently those are different settings that are listed.

That pressure will require a dual stage compressor, or an expensive screw type compressor. (Forget the screw type for that usage.) Single stage compressors generally max out at 120PSI. Compression ratio of about 8:1.

It may also be that the max pressure the unit can take is 160PSI and its normal inlet pressure is far less. You need to check those specs with your rep.

H Karim,
The compressor wont deliver filtered air for you, nor dry nor totally oil free.

You will also require units that attach to the outlet of your compressor to achieve these results.

You will need a dessicant dryer unit, with a moisture filter and an oil filter and a particulant filter.

Our compressor has a refrigerated moisture unit connected to the outlet, supported by a triple filter system, this then pipes into our workshop where we have another moisture filter in line, this then pipes down to another 3 stage filter ( oil, particulant and moisture/dessicant )
that connects to our laser and rotary systems.

Hope that helps.

regards
Peter
