We are new to this forum and have an exciting new process to introduce; Atomic Art.
We have been in the sign, advertising and engraving business for 32 years and recently discovered something AWESOME...
Laser Engraving in Color and I do mean COLOR.
We will have our website fully functional by the 23rd of December, 2005.
We showed over 30 samples at the Stone Expo and ITSS Shows in Las Vegas in October and November at the LaserPro Booth, courtesy of Louie Alvarez.
The response was so overwhelming, that we have decided to offer exclusive license agreements in February/March 2006.
Just thought we would share a ceramic sample as a teaser to anyone interested in this new process. The "Atomic Art" process will change laser engraving significantly.
"Atomic Art" works on black & white marble, granite, travertine, engineered stone, ceramic, porcelain, glass and more to come.
If you are interested contact us and we will put you on our list of businesses to contact when all comes available.
This is not painted, this is engraved into the surface and is extremely durable.

Welcome to the forum. Very interesting, to say the least.
I've moved your promotion to the Ad/Buy/Sell folder. If you'd like to discuss the technical aspects, we can begin a new discussion in the Laser Engraving folder.
Thank you for joining our merry band of men and women. :-)

Thank you for your quick response.
We are hoping this process will provide an entirely new avenue of profits for those who are committed to the laser engraving community.
We are in negotiations with a large corporation that has a worldwide footprint. Once their vision of industrial applications is finalized, we intend to offer this to the smaller commercial shops and see enormous potential in the building along with the typical awards and recognition industries.

Is it your plan to sell licenses for the wholesale distribution of your product(s), or is it a requirement for a retailer to learn and use your process? I wasn't clear on what you meant in your statement.EDITED: 8 Dec 2005 by DGL

Are we speaking to Thom or Terry? Just curious.
Will you be exhibiting at the ARA Show in Las Vegas, this upcoming March?
Any clue as to what's involved technically? Powders, thermally-activated films etc?
I don't mean to bury you with questions, but what can I say? We're an inquisitive crowd. :-)

David,
At this time we are planning on selling the process/technology to enable busineeses which currently offer laser engraving services to produce the Atomic Art process.
There may; however, become a need for wholesale distributorships at a latter time, since we are confident the demand is going to be very strong.

David,
You are talking to both Thom & Terry. We collaborate on everything.
We are planning to exhibit at the ARA show this March. We are also planning on having several demonstrations and software plus a training video for perspective buyers.
This probably will appeal to people who have been in the engraving business for some time, the learning curve is steep; but, we have tested it with wire brushes, high pressure steam cleaners and it has withstood all of them; even the Vegas Sun.
We will forward the website address within 2 weeks.
Thank you for being curious; we too are a curious lot.

TNT,
I, along with some of our forum members will be attending the Las Vegas show. We're looking forward to seeing your process up-close.
I'll be sure to bring my scratch-resistance testing kit.
That's kind of an inside joke. :-)

Anthony,
We understand the fear factor; but, if we do not share the knowledge then how does a process take hold?
We do not understand what you mean by "Be Afraid" if it is in regards to the durability of our process we welcome all comers since the only way we have been able to scratch our images is when we see sparks!!!! Would anyone clean something in that manner?
Thanks for the tip.

Hi TNT,
I must apologize for the confusion.
As you will find in your dealings with the forum; we are a strange bunch of people. Very honest and good hearted, but strange none the less.
The incident that David was referring to incident happened last year at the ARA show in Vegas when I first met him while working for my previous company, Faro USA. We had just release a wedding line and had ONE ornament with a 4 color pad-printed image on display. We were also giving out key chains with another image printed on them. (We had about 500 of those!)The beauty of this product is that it is very difficult to scratch. But not impossible as we found out when David damaged our only piece during a demonstration. It’s one of those had to be there moments. And I refuse to let David forget it to this day.
Welcome to the Forum. Where life is never is dull!
If I can help you out in anyway please let me know. I’d be happy to help.
Best Regards
Anthony Coyne

Roy,
I'm going to keep an open mind on this one, but my radar always goes up when someone is selling a license to a process. License investments are often not wise because the process is often quickly disclosed and copied, and the early investors get caught holding the bag.

Roy,
I side with David Take-(ess) on this one. :-)
I'm keeping an open mind, but the idea of delivering full-color images from a laser engraving machine, seems so remote, that I just HAVE to see it.
I wonder if there's a Joelle or Hisashi connection? :-)

Roy,
We know our profile doesn't explain our years of experience. So we will update that and provide you with a llittle history about tnt.
tnt aka Thom & Terry have been in the Sign & Related Industries for over 30 years. Have had articles writtten about us in trade magazines and a website article. We run a major casino's signshop here in Las Vegas. for the past 10 years. We have a wide array of knowledge in the art fields. Types of signage casino's require are backlits, directionals, menus, special events props, posters, stage props, engraved table game limit signs, attractions and the list goes on. There are no pretenders here, our obsesssion is color.
July 2003 Rolands Website - Will Curtis posted an article on www.rolanddga.com in the gallery.
Sept/Oct 2003 Big Picture Magazine - Kasey King, "tnt have'n a blast"
July 2005 Signs of the Times Magazine - Steve Aust, " Small Shop Great Work"
The Atomic Art process was shown to the public at two trade shows, Stone Expo & ITSS Show and if there were apparent weaknesses, someone of the 3 or 400 people who visited the booth in that industry would have seen it. Louie Alvarez of LaserPro would not have allowed us to be present at his booth.
We do not mean to get defensive but we also understand that permanent color has never been available to engravers. Attitudes about Sign people are very annoying to us as we feel many are true artisans.
More to come,
Thom & Terry
