So can I, but I only got about 1/8 screwed by him/her. I didn't lose anything like others did.

Mick - I hate to hear that Justin got you too. One of the salesmen who calls on me also travels into Wisconsin. Last time I thought to ask him he said Justin was still in Beaver Dam. He also said that things seemed to be going a bit down hill at Justin's-- -- imagine that!

Joe,

To mention Justin Fischer, of Beaver Dam Trophy, in Beaver Dam, Michigan, by name, is just plain wrong; but I'm happy you beat me to it. (devil)

During our failed attempt to receive payment, for a (rush) job I did for Justin, my wife called the Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce, to file a complaint and was told she wasn't the first.

In fact, Justin has the distinction of being the first business in town, in line to have his application for renewal refused.

I would hope the ARA would exhibit the same fortitude, in refusing his membership, should he try to renew.

There's no gray area, or "he said, she said" in this instance.

His list of victims is long and verifiable.

Hey, I took a trip for you on that run ;) I guess I was the insurance clause.

Joe,

In my case, I should have seen him coming. I just thought (mistakenly) that he had rehabilitated himself.

He was convincing in his promise to pay me. :-$

David,

I went to the Beaver Dam Chamber website and it appears the renewal refusal is still in full force. There was no sign of BDTA.

Interestingly, I called and left a message for Justin last week. He never returned my call. It must be getting lonely in Beaver Dam Country.

David,

My wife also called the local competition. The person on the phone said there isn't much activity at Justin's location.

Justin's probably the best thing that's ever happened for their business.

Get the payment up front. Darn, I wish I had implemented that policy a year ago.

Do you really think his IQ could be as low as his business morals? >.<

I'm so glad you guys identified him as "Justin". I was sitting here copying the mail thinking it was ME you were talking about. B-)  (devil)

You guys are harsh. I am guessing he deserves it though. Just remind me never to get on EE's black ball list. ;-)

Franklin,

It's easy to stay off that list. Just be an ethical businessperson.

Easier for some, than others, but it's not that hard a task.

Having a conscience is the first step.

Sadly good crooks are usually very High IQ - but I am not sure Justin is smart just sneaky. And he must be good at sneaky because look at the individuals who were taken in (some of them more than once). :-$

Justin is a wolf in sheep's clothing and he used the wool to pull it over peoples eyes. Everyone who has been in business has been shorn a time or two.

"Shear me once, shame on you. Shear me twice, shame on me!" or something to that effect....

As you say, we all get hit once in a while but most of us don't get hit by the same person/company twice. :S

Is this the same guy that was always on the board talking about how busy he was?

"I just got an order for 2000 of this or 500 of that?" What did he do to you guys?

I always though it was funny that some one THAT busy working to 3AM was on the board every 5 minutes.

I was that busy and I'm just now getting back to looking at the board daily!

Gary - Yes that's the one - he always had some big deal going on - or so he said.

He did not do anything to me personally but he did take advantage of some people (friends of mine) here on the board. From all indications his business practices are less than ethical.

Justin's reasons for posting here may have been two fold - one to pump himself up because he needed pumping up - second seems to have been to take advantage of people. It's a sad case and thankfully not very common among the good folks who frequent this board.

Glad you have been busy - good to see you back.
