"In flexible materials such as acrylic, the Rasterâ„¢ is held in place by the tight friction fit of the Rasterâ„¢ in the material. Because the Rastersâ„¢ and the holes must be within precise tolerances" This is taken from Accent Signages website. Glass would not give you the flexibility you need. I have used Rowmark's ultra matte Clear/Clear for signs wanting the clear or frosted look.

Raster Braille can in fact be done in any type of material including glass. Yes, Raster Braille uses the friction fit of the material to keep the Raster in place with signs made of engraving material or material that possesses a "memory". You can also do Raster Braille in harder material such as metal or glass that does not possess a memory using the adhesive assist method.
Accent Signage has done Braille signs in glass in the past, but it is an extremely time consuming and expensive process. It can be done!

Are there methods, other than raster, for producing braille on glass?

David,
I really don't know a lot of information about other methods of putting Braille on glass. I do know that it is possible to diamond etch or sandblast the braille into the glass, but unfortunately I don't have any detailed information. If you would like to know more about the Raster Method, please give me a call.
