Dee,

I called them this morning, and the nice lady told me that Ed would be calling me back in the next day or so.

We have a ready market for these things....no time to wait 2 months for Gravograph to get their stuff together.

I wish our suppliers would realize the power the forum gives us to communicate both the good and the bad about our suppliers. IMHO they would be wise to assign someone to read the forum on a regular basis. They could answer our machine questions, listen to our wants and needs and answer in a timely manner. What is the worst that could happen to them? They could improve their machines, improve their product lines, make new friends and gain some respect from 1600+ members of this community. Did I say worst? Sounds like a win to me.

Hello all,

I agree 100 percent with the above sentiment. My role here is to lend full factory support to any questions, concerns, comments and suggestions you may have about ULS equipment. I won’t always have the answers to your questions at my fingertips but I will find the systems engineer, applications lab technician, etc. who does and get an answer for you. Be assured that all of us at ULS do care and we are listening to you – as Mike, Treavor and others have demonstrated on so many occasions – and we will continue to do so in the future.

All the best,

Dave

Dave;

What is the proper procedure for swapping tables (flat, vector, rotary) on a VL-200? Sometimes after I swap tables, the laser won't run another file without considerable delay (minutes) and the autofocus (z-height keyed into the print properties) won't set the proper height (ie no movement). Once the file does start, if I stop it and restart it, everything will function as it should. The several minute delay is the main problem.

I've gotten into the habit of resetting the z-axis (under the focus tab), then swapping tables. This has improved the situation, but it still happens (very infrequently). It's a minor inconvenience, but I'd like to eliminate the problem if I can.

Thanks.

Hi Carl,

I’m not exactly sure why you’re experiencing problems when swapping accessories in and out of your VL-200. I would suggest you check to be sure the honeycomb cutting table and rotary fixture are seated securely on the recessed electrical connector and aligning pins. Also, check to be sure that all of the electrical pins are free of dirt and debris and that none of them are bent or broken. If that doesn’t fix the problem, send me a PM with your machine’s serial number and I’ll work with our service department to find a solution for you.

All the best,

Dave
