Dee,

Can you test that new camera of yours out on some of the east coasters?

I haven't met many of them. :-)

Gary,

The latest report I have seen (2 minutes ago!) says only 1-2" in my area by 7 pm tomorrow, Friday. That means it is a go as of now and should be for Dee and Harvey, also.

Lost the original reply due to IE.

The tentatively scheduled time is still 3 PM. I will probably be there at 12 also.

Yes, the night before and it is still tentative.

Gary, Harvey, Dee, Uncle Steve and Cathy and your husband.. .. Nice to meet you today.. Update on AC show.. smaller than last year.. crowds smaller.. but it gave us more time with the vendors.. Heavy Rain In AC.. and sleet and snow north of us.. most likly kept the crowd away.. Harvey and Dee got some pictures of all of us with are wonderful Name badges.. Thank you David.. there great..

I even met a few people and told them about our group.. hope to see them on here soon..

Bill

Harvey Dee and Uncle Steve decided to spend the night due to the weather.. It was really bad north of AC.. I made the drive home. thru driving wind and sleet. took and extra hour for me to get home. due to snow. , Cathy said if she wins at the casino.. there buying dinner for all of us.. lol...and if she wins big time. a new laser for all of us.. yipie.. lol

The rain was heavy but Dee decided to go north until the road conditions deteriorated. From one exit on the Garden State to the next it went from rain to over two inches of sleet on the road. We went a little farther to an area we knew and for some reason then kept going.

4 1/2 hours later we made it back to Elizabeth NJ. Then Steve decided not to take our hospitality and to drive home. He is a professional driver as well as an engraver, but I thought he was nuts.

We enjoyed the show and meeting the other EE people. Then Bill Albert, Gary Shoemake, Steve, Dee and I went to Applebees for dinner. A mini Beach Party near the beach. So the weather was very similar to a hurricane, big deal.

Made it home after Dee and Harvey got safely to Elizabeth..... Took me about 1 1/2 hours for a normal 50 minute ride. Not too bad.

As soon as I hit the NJ Tpke, things were clearing up on the road and when I got across the bridge to NY, the roads were plowed, sanded and salted so I had a clear run home.

The show seemed small to me, but it is my first and I have nothing to compare it to. Met great people and had a good time despite the weather. Although the show was small, I think I found a few good vendors and got some ideas to start building my product lines.

I want to thank Harvey, but more importantly Dee, for dragging me down to AC with them and I don't care what Harvey says.... Dee did a great job getting us back to civilization.

Next year, Vegas!!! (so I have something to compare it to!) 8-O

The show was actually larger than years past. There were vendors there that had not been there (or so I remember) in the past. However, the weather was horrible. Steve counted 18 accidents on our drive down.

I felt sorry for the vendors. There were so few "customers" there for them. I hope they get more today (Saturday). They could not possibly pay their expenses judging by the amount of shoppers. I did see a few people wearing ids that said "non member buyers". Those must have been the freebies that were spoken about here earlier.

Dee

Dee,

After the drive home, if you ever get tired of the engraving business, I know a limo company that is looking for "a few good drivers"! (angel)

Well, I didn't make it to Jersey again this year. :(

My son has post-season hockey tournament that started last night. We were supposed to play at 7pm last night, but Thursday they contacted us and moved the game to today. So, wish us luck!

I would still love to have the badge if its possible. Let me know what I need to do to get it.

Thanks
Harold
