Full Version: Corel Draw Ctrl Z Problem

I hope someone can help with a Corel Draw 10 problem. I have lost use of the Ctrl-Z (Undo) feature one which it one that I use very frequently.
I have tried to reset the feature in the Tools Customization menu and also have tried to set up a new shortcut using the undo feature but nothing seems to work. The icons, undo and redo, still show on the Standard Tool bar but are not highlighted when some thing is deleted.
Does anyone have any suggestions, please. This is like losing my best friend.
Thanks

Try restarting CD and hold down the F-8 key when it asks you if you want to reset CD to factory setting click yes.
Also check to see if your key board is bad.

Thanks for the suggestion - tried it but still nothing. I am going to uninstall and reinstall and hope that it will go better than my initial installation which had problems.
Thanks

Corel, (in my version), allows you set the amount or undo's allowed in the preferences. It might be set to zero. Also check out how much memory the program is allowed to hijack for itself. Too little may lock out undo. (I think mine is set to 50%, but not sure at this time.)
If you uninstall then reinstall, it might be a good idea to remove the directory and anything in it before the reinstall. There might be something left.
If Ctrl-Z does not work, Windows may be using the Ctrl-Z for something and just not passing it along. This is unlikely since the undo icon is not lit.

Thanks for the replies. With fear and trepidation, I finally took the step and completely un-installed and reinstalled. I had hesitated because of previous install problems with XP and some select Corel files. This time it worked great. Maybe some of the new service pack updates have fixed my original problems. My real question is what caused it - so I don't do it again but this may only be known to Mr. Gates et all .
