Full Version: Want to Repair a 1280 printer

Larry,
While at the ARA show in Las Vegas, I stopped at the Saw Grass technologies booth. They are an authorized service center for the Epson printers used for sublimation.
The question is, besides what is wrong with it, how OLD is it? If you are using it for sublimation, it is my understanding that 18 months is about the lifespan of that printer......( I don't know first hand, only that is what I have been told in asking questions....)
I"m sorry I cannot be of more help.....

The location that I have heard the best reviews of are the Levi brothers in Texas.

Excellent work, reasonable prices and they will provide an estimate for around $35 (IIRC) which is applied to the repair if you want to go ahead with it.

Printers, like most electronic equipment, tend to have most of the work in finding and defining the problem.... the actual repair is the "next step" and usually not the big part of the costs unless you are dealing with expensive parts.

You almost have to fix it to find out what the problem is.
