SignWarehouse & eBay:

The $12,995 price can be found on their web site. Its their package special #1. It includes the laser, free delivery, on-site installation/training. (I guess if you pay $2,000 for on-site setup they ship it for "free".) All their "specials" are bundled options for additional $$$ beyond the $10,995 base price.

It's interesting the eBay auction uses that price and lists shipping separately, and doesn't mention on-site anything. It also says "Any SignWarehouse promotions, special offers and/or rebates do not apply to these auctions."

So yes, they sell that laser at the higher price, but it includes more. I don't know the price from Laser Pro for the same unit, or what it includes. I suspect it's more then the $10,995, but also includes more, like on-site setup, or support for Corel.

Michael,

The reason for the difference in the retail price and the price on the website are because it has been decided that it should be sold at a lower price. The suggested retail price is indeed 12,995, however it has been discounted and is sold at 10,995 (hence the significant price difference between the 25 watt and 40 watt). The machine that is 10,000 (9,995) is a 12 watt.

Hopefully that clarifies the situation.

Alex,

I would like to formally apologize for the issues you have faced. I was not aware of those until reading your post here. If there is anything I can do to be of assistance please let me know.

Thank you,

It's always been clear.

You state in your ebay auctions the item you are auctioning retails for a different amount from what you actually sell it for on your web site.

Go figure.

If it looks like a duck, etc.

If you go into Suncoast or another movie specialty store you might find a DVD for $29.95. Special features, director's commentary, spanish language track, all sorts of goodies. Seems like a good enough deal, and the $29.95 is probably the manufacturer's suggested retail price.

Now cross the street and go into Wal-Mart, the same version of the same DVD with the same features might be $17.47. This doesn't change the MSRP. It just means that Wal-Mart is able to sell for below the standard retail price.

DL,

Thanks for your consideration and offer of assistance.

It's just that apart from the incomplete shipment, there seemed to be such a coldness so soon after the sale that I was disturbed. I will get over it, bear with me. I still have a 3yr warranty that i would like Signwarehouse to honour albeit my comments have been mostly negative in a public forum. I want to be fair and factual but i'm struggling not to be emotive.

Can I get a better explanation for me not being able to change my freight forwarder...other than... "that is not our policy".
The current forwarder has a minimum freight charge that is inappropriate for smaller items. I can get the the same items shipped to Trinidad from Miami using a courier service that is much less. If i need to ship lens, motor, bearings etc...I would need this service. This will be of no extra cost to Signwarehouse.

Also, I was expecting a separate warranty document in my package and did not receive it.....Can you comment on this?

My rep was very helpful before the sale....Answered calls...Returned calls and emails promptly.....answered questions. I certainly appreciated that. Is it normal that I should deal with 'Customer Service' after the sale or should I still be dealing with my rep?

Thanks again
Alex

Alex,

I think I may be able to help you further. If you have items on backorder I do not see a problem shipping them to where ever you need them to in the US. If you could, please give me a call at 800-699-5512 x2005 and I will see about getting things sorted out.

Thanks!

DL,

I appreciate you coming to the forum, with your offer of assistance to Alex.

I can understand your desire to work directly with Alex, via phone, though, he's raised some interesting questions, regarding a customer's choice of delivery service and the duty of a salesperson, once the sale is complete.

I should mention that we have had favorable comments towards Sign Warehouse in the past. Hopefully, more to come :-)

Good point if the topic was DVD's from different sources. Non sequitor.

See my first post on this for auction number and link to their website with the lower price. No other firm sells that brand. If you know of one, put up a link so we can look at it.

Of course, you could have done that before lecturing about Walmart and dvd's and been able to address the topic instead of hiding it, yes?

I have been reading some posts lately on the sign web forum about the bad service from Sign Warehouse and it didn't surprise me to read something here! John

Michael,

Actually the machines are made by GCC and also sold under the LaserPro brand.

Thanks for that information.

Signwarehouse doesn't sell the Laserpro brand. The auctions state the Pinacle 25 watt laser engraver retails for $12,995.00 but the web site says the Pincacle 25 watt laser engraver retails at $10,995.00, $2000 difference. An obvious mistatement of fact.

I rounded down for simplicity. You sell the 25 watt model for $10,995.00 on your web site, but on your auction you state it retails for $12,995.00.

You don't offer set up or delivery or anything else on your auction.

You don't want the true translation from the original Greek do you. It has been tamed down slightly to fit acceptability for our society.

That is from a Greek source? I assume something ancient. How about just posting the Greek text, no translation, so nobody gets offended. I'd be curious to see!

The Greek I do not have available, but loosely translated the first line is "If it 'poops' like a duck." The Greeks of ancient times believed in saying it like it was. I learned this about 45 years ago, and cannot remember the source. It was a shock at that gentler time in our society and stayed with me.

Starting to remind me of a Cheech & Chong routine: :P

Well, those of us that enjoyed Cheech & Chong on original vinyl know where this ends up. Most that didn't know Cheech's original partner wasn't Don Johnson probably can guess where it ends up.

If it looks, smells, quacks, waddles...it probably is.

PS: are you sure the Greek wasn't "if it *** like a goose..."? They **** a lot more than ducks. :P

I think we got off the topic of Sign Warehouse, or did we?

[Slap my hand for that pun.]
