I can't thank this board enough! I had a logo that I really wanted to engrave for a good customer but try as I might I couldn't make it work -- it had all manner of colors and I lack the expertise to make it a lineart file. Too much design so when I converted to grayscale and then reduced it, the logo was unintelligible. So I email Peter Bertrand. $9 and 24 hours later (not even!) I had an amazing file and I know my customer will be thrilled! I am a new member of the PB Fan Club!

I cannot tell you how much money Pete has saved me. He is the best
It's rare that a week does not go buy that I send him some really nasty jpeg that he turn to clean art. I can do the vector trace work but I do not feel that it is economical for me to do it when I can be doing other work that I do much better with a lot more profit. PETE IS THE MAN!!!

I have to admit---since I found his name a couple of weeks ago on this forum, I have used him many times. He is very quick to get it back to me and has always done a wonderful job!

Another example of Pete's vectorizing magic. The top image is what I was given by the customer. I told Pete the image needed to be flattened and that I wanted vectorized spot colors. The bottom image is what Pete produced for me. All I could say was WOW!

David,

Let me guess. That was done for $12?

Not that one. $36 for something that complex, but normally $12.

David,

Still a good price. I'm happy to see Pete's gotten away from the one-price-fits-all approach.

David,

I've had some jobs like this that some services wouldn't touch. I expect to be charged more and gladly do so. After all, its not me paying for it. :-)

David,

In addressing me, you're preaching to the choir. :-)

Very sound advice.

I had a particularly difficult conversion job for Pete, which he did back in the days of the $9 charge.

I probably, single-handedly, changed his policy.

Sorry folks! :-$
