Sounds interesting. Harv and I are staying at the mall until at least Sunday so we won't know if we received one until we get home.

Peter,

It's headed your way. The boat just left the Port of Houston.

Was shipped FedEx... You should have gotten yours before all of us, as I recall being down under, don't you start the day........

Mark,

I did call them with a few questions and got through immediately, so it appears that they are prepared to do business.

In our conversation they conveyed that they ship via FedEx exclusively.

Wow, I feel left out...no catalog yet for me. :-(  Of course, I'm not in ARA yet either...

Again in checking their prices I compared their list prices on Zippo lighters and find in all instances their list is $4.00 higher than buying from Zippo's distributor also same with other categories.

I also think they have ARA's mailing list.

I am not an ARA member..... I think it is the A&E or Custom Gift Retailer list they are using....

David.
I do know who you're talking about. I have had their catalog for a couple of years. My Colibri salesman turned me on to them. They buy from large companies and mark up about 10%. Some of their suppliers are Colibri, Creative, Gifts, Leeber and New England Fashions. They sell to small jewelry and gift shops and people who do home parties. They appear to buy from companies that manufacture for mall type jewelers. I would love to find some of their other suppliers. I am going to talk to NEF and see if they know some of their other suppliers.

I got one yesterday as well. I used to be an ARA member but no longer. My wife browsed through it but I haven't as yet. I did notice the high cost when flipping through when it came.

Some big bucks were spent on this endeavor for sure!

Dee,

You had the same reaction I did. I saw some products I liked, but I prefer to buy and negotiate with the original source, not another middleman.

I called them yesterday... the lady said they did an ARA mailing, and that they are now members of the ARA... I was just happy to see that they are located in Ohio, as most of the gift companies have been in, MA, CA, NJ, or NY. It was also nice to see that there is no min... as some companies are asking $100.00 or even $250.00 . They seemed very professional on the phone, a friend of mine who lives in Cinci is going to drive by their office/warehouse and give me an update.

Have a great day and good business.

I guess I'm the newbie when it comes to giftware and such... besides Creative Gifts,,, what are the other "companies, distributors, etc". Sorry to be a pain but we're about 2 years behind in northern Ohio. Seriously any help in this regard would be most appreciative...

Thanks
Rob

We got one yesterday also. It will be interesting to see what develops as the main contact info is on the webpage. They may be a double edged sword as the letter included with ours stated that they would also engrave for an additional fee. Could be working both sides of the fence.

Mike,

I just got off the phone with Quality Gifts, again. They said that they DO NOT sell to the end user. I always like to ask if they sell to the end user via a company under their ownership, but under a different name. Emphatically, NO!

David,
I have made 1 purchase from them. All I had to do was FAX them a copy of my sales tax certificate. I received my order the day after I placed it.
