Can anyone tell me if wine glasses and/or shot glasses can be sublimated? Is there any other process of imprinting them? I know they can be silk screened or hot press, but I am looking for a less involved process. I don't need to do 100's at a time, just a few.
thank you!

Hello,
I'm not sure if you can sublimate either one of them.
But you could use the "Lights" and sublimate on them and make a "Sticker" with the design you like.
The lights can be cut to just about any size.
Hope this helps.
Rolf

Thank you Rolf,
I haven't had the greatest luck with the laserlights. Also, I wonder if they would come off in a dishwasher. Have you tried this?

Linda,
Johnson Plastics has a shot glass in their catalog that has a pewter disc holder. The discs can be engraved or sublimated. Page 139 in the 2005 catalog.

As others have mentioned Laser Reproductions carries sublimatable shot glasses.

Because of their shape, "wraps" are used to hold the transfer in place while pressing.
Also, because of their shape, it's necessary to use a special template for your artwork. I think LR provides a template.
Cary Green, Carol "Gibby" Gibson or any of their able-bodied assistants could answer your questions more specifically.

I did 50 white shot glasses (From LR) for a family reunion in Ethiopia this summer. I only ruined one and it was my fault - forgot to put the glove on the hand that graps the hot item - dropped it so fast it shattered! Only printed on one side and was able to also use a voitive wrap that I had on hand to make it go a little faster.

Zona,
Sounds like they had a good time! How long did it take you to do them?

One afternoon - I didn't time it as I was doing other items at the same time (which is why the glove was on the wrong hand ;-) ).
