Howdy!! So....I download Genuine Fractals "Trial" version......two separate times.....and each time, everything is in Japanese; instructions, etc.

I contact Lizardtech (Genuine Fractals) and they seem not to know why.

Any suggestions? Is it having to do with some something I can change within Photoshop?

Thanks.

P.S. Also posted on the DSSI forum.

Well that's interesting. Just looked through my copy of Genuine Fractals, and I can't find any language options anywhere. My guess would be it's either some option during the installation or it's built in.

Where did you download the trial version from? I suppose it's possible that it's built into the different versions of the installation file, though that would be kinda silly. Maybe if you were to try to download a different copy of the install files?

Have you tried it on more than one computer?

GF is good stuff. Good luck with it.

Sei - I have heard the name Genuine Fractals - but I do not know what it is. Would you mind educating me a little about this program and what it is used for. I may not be the only one in the dark about this program, but my curiosity is greater than my pride. Joe

Basically it's image enlargement software, but it had special, complex algorithms that allow it to blow an image up as much as 750% the original size and still maintain a halfway decent look.

It smooths everything out whereas if you just enlarge in an art program straight you'll get a lot of pixelization.

We use it here for doing large scale prints for banners and vehicle wraps, and I've run a few images through it before engraving to try and boost the resolution a little.

If I remember correctly they offer the full version for free for RBG image, whereas the pay version covers lab color, CMYK, etc.

It's worth playing with if you can get your hands on a copy.

Thank you. Could have used something like that recently. I may have to see if I can get a copy to try. Joe
