I didn't want to hijack the thread about emailing an AutoCAD file, so....
If you need to send a large file to someone, email is probably NOT the way to go. Most ISPs block emails exceeding certain file size limits and you don't know about it until you spend a bunch of time trying to send something. Besides, email servers are simply store and forward and sometimes use several servers to get from point A to point B.
Well, the internet wizards have a solution and there are several services around where you can upload a file to their server which will then send a notification to the the recipient(s) with a link for download. Neat.. only one server involved.
One I've used is YouSendIt.com. There are several others and a quick google will locate them. Read about their services as some are free and others charge a fee. YouSendIt has a limit of 1gig and it's free.
Others are FilesDirect.com, SendThisFile.com, Dropload.com, etc.
