To those of us going to the ARA show in March, how many of us would be interested in a 2 or 4 man scramble event probably on the Tuesday before the show opening?

Dave,

If I'm in town Tuesday (usually don't show up til Thursday) I'd be open to some golf action. :-)

I think the logistics will be easier for people driving to L.V., if I were flying, I'd want to travel light, which wouldn't allow for bringing golf clubs along.

That sounds like a good idea. Golf and clubs that goes together. I think I like just the clubs. Pick me up there, Ill play.

:'-(

My wife just bought me some new clubs (Taylor Made) for an early Christmas present.

Unfortunately, we won't be getting into town until late Wednesday morning.

Much sadness.

Almost forgot to add this...a friend of mine had some 1.375" dia stainless steel "knockouts" that he wanted me to engrave. I used Cermark to put stuff on them like "Drive for show, putt for dough", "Birdie Time!", and so forth. So far, I've just given these as gifts. I just thought it was a cool idea.

I can't make it this year and don't play well at all but I can surely help you out in spirit......send me all the beer and I'll do you all a favor and drink it for you :)

What are the particulars? Location? Cost? I might be interested if there is enough interest from others.

I figure by March my knees will be completely gone but, hey, that's what Advil and Jack Daniels is for. Right? Four years of high school cross-country and nine years in the Marine Corps. Go figure.

Ed et al

Sorry for ignoring you on this but up until today it was up in the air if we were going to ARA.

Since there seems to be more people interested if we move it to later in the week, lets try for friday. One warning, it ain't cheap. The few courses that I checked on the cost is $100.00 and more. I do think all supply carts(riding that is)

What do you think would be best morning, early, mid-morning, noonish or early afternoon?

Dave: I guess I was originally thinking in terms of a day before the show really got going; like Tuesday. But then I was assuming there would be enough interest on such a day. Frankly, once the show gets going, we'll be either on the floor or attending seminars. Friday, in particular, is show day for us.

Maybe it won't be in the cards for this year.

If I get the opportunity to get in a few holes in would be wonderful. It is going to depend on how the ASD and ARA show schedules and meetings work out. I have had the opportunity to play a round here in CA with Stunt Engraver (DGL), and I'd for sure be willing to get beat again. I'll keep posted to the interest of others.

Friday will be the only day that I could get out.

I just spoke with Kevin from Cactus (no computer at home) and he is up for a round. I'll drive the beer cart.

Are you, in a subtle way, telling us we also have a David "The Stunt Golfer" on the forum?

More likely he just likes to stand out in the grass playing with his putter! (devil)

It's more like "try hard to golfer" a friend of David (Stunt Engraver), who also happens to be named David.

Most golfers like me to play a round with them because they know I can be easily one over. At golf that is.
