Harbor freight is running a special on a wet tile saw for $32.99 this week. If you get their emails there is also a 20% off coupon that can be used on this item. They say it is usually $59.99.

My thought is for cutting floor tile to use for engraving. Maybe?

That saw is a little light for cutting granite or anything like that. It is fine for wall tile. The last time I saw one in use it made a big mess with the water, may be differant now.

Their machinery is in my opinion 'just about serviceable'. Your comment is probably for the unit displayed.

Thanks for the input.

They actually have several on sale. I just purchased the 7" wet bridge saw for $200 (half price). More of a medium duty machine. Has a decent scale for adjusting the width of the cut acurately.

I just received a flier with a 7" 1/2hp wet saw for $59.95. I wonder if it is the same unit.

I also just found out that they opened a store 2 miles away from me. Will check it out Monday.

I'm sure it's not the same one. Look for a wet bridge saw where the blade rides on a rail similar to a radial arm saw.

The $59 one is like that and 1/2 HP.

I just received another flier with a $69.99 version. 110V 10 amp. (About 1.5 HP) This one is available catalog and Internet only. 16.3 Lbs. Item #91511-OHKH.

It is Central Machinery and claims to cut tile up to 1.5" thick. Maybe I'll go for this one.

That one is a little bit too large for me. It will have to be taken out only when used, I have no room for equipment.

You might want to check the ring saws from Gemini at http://www.geminisaw.com/index.html.
