Full Version: Millenimun Direct Color System

Hi,
Over the years I tried sublimation and color transfer to do color badges and found sublimation too costly and a real pain. Transfers do not give the quality and consistency we need plus we have had complaints that when it gets wet it fades out.
We are now looking at a Millennium direct color system, Does anyone have any experience with them or can suggest a similiar system for color badges and small color signs, labels, etc.
Thanks for your help.

Try here

And for searching, make sure to change the wording as appropriate (start with a lot of words, if you need more results, use fewer words) oh, and check your spelling. And change from Boolean to Contains All the Words. Also, make sure to change the date range for searching, change the Posted From to a year ago (or whatever). I think the default is one month.

If it's fading when it gets wet, it doesn't sound like sublimation. Current crop of inks is small, but consistancy doesn't seem to be a problem any more. Longevity is way up, too.

If you become disapointed with the new system or would like to discuss dye sub for contracting out in the future, please drop me a line.

Larry,
I like what the Millenium can do for full color badging. You can get all kinds od precut blanks or make your own from engravable plastic. I have made my own blanks and printed out engravable blanks for my friends shops. Like everything, a little setup and a couple of test prints and your good to go. I used Corel 8 when I did mine and used the PMS code from my friends to recreate a four color company logo for them that turned out very nice, and very smooth. If your looking for a system I have one here with a camera, notebook computer, printing supplys and a Millenium 525 with about 1800 prints across it. I have a closed business and am looking to sell, taking reasonable offers.
