I measure twice and cut once, then the customer decides they want it larger.

[Or the laser starts in the wrong place. Had Corel 9 send the file to the wrong spot yesterday on one file on two different sends. It took a long time to send, should have a clue. Rebooted Corel and it sent it to the right spot then.]

It can be buffed out. But how much was the piece of glass in the first place? If you spent less than $50 on the glass, you are better off buying another blank and throwing that one it the trash.

I don't know what the actual cost of the trophy was. We were contracted by a local jeweler to engrave the piece. Once the trophy was given out at the golf tourney the winner brought it to us to engrave.

My hubby found a way to "cover" the mistake. We will find out next week if it is workable. If not we will be eating the cost and replacing it and as I said, hubby will have a new bed in the backyard. :P

Out of the garage and into the backyard already? School fees should not be that rough. :P

Hee, hee, hee. I'm really not that mean and didn't say a word when it didn't turn out as planned. It could have just as easily been me.

But, I was smart enough to leave the job for hubby to do so I coudn't be blamed for not "measuring twice, cutting once." I ain't no dummy.
