So, I just got a new copy of Flexi Designer for my pc. I currently use Corel Draw for my laser, but it's a pain if my parents create the graphic. Everything everyone else does is done in Flexi, and hear I am rotating on the Corel Draw 12 wheel. I'm curious to know if anyone uses Flexi for the Laser and how they like doing it this way. Since I'm already used to Flexi I can see there being a big difference. Output is going to be the same right?

I have Flexi and it was a come-lately program for the vinyl cutter. Maybe that is why I prefer Corel much more, a lot more experience. If you can do the same things and are more comfortable with one of them, that is your program.

Kate,
Do any of your customers give you artwork? If so what do they use? Corel has a very large variety of filters and if flexi designer can save in eps, you should be able to open and manipulate them in Corel as well.

Yes, output is going to be the same. File then print and send to the laser. You just have to pay really close attention to the settings in the options button.
With our Pinnacle Lasers we have to the have the page size set up to match the machine table size and then make sure these settings are selected: Fit Border to paper and use device margins and ACSII are the only things that need to be selected in options. Uncheck everything else.
This may vary from machine to machine but may work for the machine you are working with.
