No! "Howlie" is a "white boy".

Hula Boy means Burke.....Chuck Burke. Shaken but not stirred.

Don't worry Pony Express Boy. We'll NEVER refer to you as "Hula Boy". That name is taken. Or is it "Take S" ?

I was looking up Hula Boy's street address online to ship him an item and ran across Croquet Boy. Could this be our Hula Boy mentioned on the calendar of this link? http://www.mauicroquetclub.org/Calendar.htm

P.S. I looked at their directory and found this. Could this be HULA BOY?

David: Holy crap! I don't recall whether YOU have met Chuck, er Hula Boy, er Croquet Boy> But I HAVE met him and that photo IS him.

This changes everything. Fasten your seatbelts.

David,

Your radio ad makes it very clear that your name is pronounced "tahk ess" ....... not tuchess.... (devil)

Ed,

I have not met Chuck in person, but I feel like we are friends. Or at least we used to be. Our whole relationship has now changed with the uncovering of this story.

David,

Do you have a problem with a group of people knocking their balls around the grass with a wooden mallet?

Seems a bit judgemental to me...... ;-)

Steve,

Being a golfer, I need to plead the 5th on that one. No judgement here. B-)

Gee ... this 'thread' is getting a bit raunchy .... I like it! Keep it up ... I had no idea Hula Boy was so talented .... I wonder if he has been sniffing too much glue from his wife's upholstery shop?

PSS: David ... your radio spot was great ... good job!

John,

Raunchy? Please get your mind out of the gutter!

Croquet is played on a grass field using wood mallets to knock a wood ball, about 4" in diameter, through a series of "wickets" which are bent wire in the cheap versions and wood arches in the better sets.

Golf is played on a grass field and uses a "bent" stick to hit a smaller ball towards a hole in the ground, ususally marked with a flag on a pole so you can see it from far away. Usually this "game" is described as a nice walk ruined by stressful activities......

What ever were you thinking? :S

The Queen of Hearts seemed to enjoy the game, of course it's always been unclear what they were drinking/smoking to enjoy the game....

There is a link at Chuck's Links page to the Croquet Club, it's not like he's "coming out of the closet" or anything.

Steve.... gee, whatever was I thinking about ... oh, I know ..its 20 degrees outside here right now and I was just jealous of thinking of Hula Boy, aka /Croquet Boy 'living it up with some kind of Hawaian (sp?) drink in one hand and his putter in the other (hand). Now, don't take that the wrong way.... :-)  {grin}

Oh, did I mention the foot of snow on the ground around me here?

John,

I am sure one day it is a putter and the next day it is a mallet.

Yep, its a nasty, thankless job and thank God we have Chuck to do this nasty work for us ... gee, I just wish he would 'chip in' and let us know what he is doing to defend his 'honor' here on the forum...

In a previous life I was in fact an announcer on the radio. Both here and in the Seattle area.
You did a damn fine job on the read. Damn fine.

I think I typed in Chuck Burke, Maui and it came up with that on the first page. I didn't request a background check or credit history. That's next. (devil)

By the way, did you hear back from the MEO about the EPS?
