James,
Very nice! Do you use a local supplier for a piece of granite that size?

One more question. Where would I look locally for a piece like that?
i.e. What type of business am I looking for. Quarry, landscaping,?????
Now that's somethin' I'll be checking into!
Thanks!
Justin

That piece of granite came from a granite countertop dealer. A lot of granite shops will give you there cut-outs from sinks if you ask them, to them they are scrap. I bought this piece because I wanted them to polish the edges.

Is that "real" granite, or a Corian / limestone material?

There is a company called lasersketch ltd. They have a nice selection of both Absolute Black Granite and Marble. It laser's very nice and the grain that you usually see is very small and tight.
