Just thought I'd share some of the things that have got a lot of interest. Probably not a huge moneymaker, but still popular.
Pet ID tags (from Chewbarka, these are the large round ones to have room for the graphic)
The graphic sets it apart from everything else I've seen available. I made my template a little too big and I didn't get the graphic centered right, but I'll tweak it as I go. I don't have a web presence, so I don't sell to anyone but friends and coworkers, and I sell them for $5 each. I think with the double sides, you could get more than that though.
Fridge Magnets, using 3/32" alder and maple.
Speak for themselves, find a sign type pattern you like, find a saying and/or graphic, go to town. Been selling for 3.50 through my bank as a Dornbecher charity thing. It makes customizing a breeze, just decide on a few sign patterns and fonts, then let the people come up with their own sayings.
I have a list I got from a coworker, all the quotes are uncredited, I usually like to include the author but I just don't know who came up with them. (mods, let me know if that's a violation and I'll take the link out)
As a side note, if someone has a list of bible verses and/or inspirational sayings, I'm interested, please send.

There actually are some people doing tags like that. Not a huge market, but people do show interest due to the novelty. I didn't bother to bookmark the sites I saw last year, sorry.
I tinkered with a SS tag and thermark and engraved a headshot photo of my dog on one side and the vital stats & med needs on the other. People who see it love it and want one, but rarely want to pay the photo editing fee, nor do they want a generic image, because it's not "their dog." It's not a market I push at all. There are a gazillion pet tag places on the internet selling for $2-$5 and I don't need to be one of them!
