Hi. First time going to the ARA show in Vegas and apparently we are going to the Gala Friday night. How fancy/formal is this. My business partner says he's wearing a suit but you know guys...they can get married in suits and be perfectly acceptable.
Any advice on what to wear girls?
thanks
Becky

You can change into something a little, er, more "delicate" between the show and the get-together.

That I do not know, but the Hilton is across the street from the Convention Center.
When you go in, follow the signs for 'The Star Trek Experience'. It is on the far side of the building. Right below it is Quarks, a bar/restaurant. We generally meet in the smoking section, it is larger and not set up with formal tables.

Becky,
Last year the ladies dressed in evening gowns, slacks, jeans, skirts and miniskirts........I would classify the ARA Gala as "semi" formal, but it IS las Vegas, and it IS a trade show, so wear what you would be comfortable in.

I walked it 2 years ago...took me about 15-20 minutes...but now you can take the automated tram, it drops you off at the convention center/sahara/ and many other hotel/casinos on the strip... its not free.. but a 3 day pass is a heck of a lot cheaper than a cab... if I'm not mistaken, it starts running at like 6am and stops at 1am ish....go to vegas.com and look for a link...
c'ya all out there

And in Vegas, this is considered a short block!

In Texas, we refer to 1/2 mile as "a piece".
A full mile would be "a fair piece" (pronounced "uh far piece").
