I received an e-mail with information about a workshop for Imagaro Z in the Pacific Northwest. Below is the info. I am not associated with this company at all.

Imagero Z is a Swedish Software to convert graphics to vectors and also identify fonts.
We purchased it two years ago and after an ititial stumble, have been using it with
various degrees of satisfaction. We have Casmate by ScanVec in two different
versions and sometimes ImageroZ outperforms ScanjVec and other times not.
We had dozens of times we needed to locate a font before buying ImageroZ, and
it's only been an issue about three times in over two years since then. "Go Figure?" :P

I bought it at a show a few years ago. It costs around $650.00. The manual that comes with it seems to be so far over our heads that it is impossible to figure out. It looked very good at the show when the sales rep was demonstrating it! I mentioned to some of the distributors about the problems with it at the last show and they acted concerned but didn't follow up. Please try to use it from a new scan by yourself before buying! I wish I would have done it that way. And as mentioned that it is from Sweden, you have to wait for the company in Sweden to give you your code to be able to open the program. It took me a few weeks to be able to try it! I never figured it out and it is just sitting on the shelf! Good luck!

Frazee,

I have tried the "demo" version. It is scaled WAY down as to what it can do.
My intention is to take a graphic of MY choosing to the show this year and see if Imagro Z will work as advertized on MY graphic.
It seems to be a great program, but until I can see it work on something they didn't institute, I don't know that I would buy it.
Since yours in sitting on a shelf, why don't you send it to me to play with? If it works for me, I'll by it from you at a price we can negotiate, if it doesn't I'll send it back to you.
You have the power of the forum to make me keep my word that I will send it back if trust is an issue.

I don't know how it will go thru with Imagaro Z. I have already registered it and just to move it to another computer, it seems like I had to email them for another code (permission) to get it open. I will check and let you know. John

Obviously they have been talking to Bill Gates.
