What better way, than to try it? :-)
That's exactly what I did and I'm happy to report that the epoxy had virtually no affect on the imprinted image.

That is great information.
I spoke to Mick the other day and got some info, sign vinyl can be transfered to successfully with the right settings. The only problem is that with a firm fingernail scratch some toner can be removed. (Maybe a little more time will help.) Doming will certainly help if there is enough money in the job.
Settings:
270*, 25 seconds, medium to firm pressure. Peel hot, as soon as the press opens, or some toner will stay on the transfer.
Vinyl on bottom, transfer, then Teflon sheet on top. (The Teflon sheet on top is very important, the vinyl will get a little sticky where the transfer paper ends.)

I used Oracal 650.
What were your settings and vinyl?

Harvey,
What is your application or what are you making that you use sign vinyl? Just wondering.

I was thinking of stick-ons for keychains of awards. It will be fine for awards, they do not get abused.
It was one of those things, "This is neat, now what can I do with it?"
If the question is why do I have sign vinyl, I unsuccessfully tried to add that to my product line.

Scotchcal on the white and something else on the bright chrome. My settings are at work, but I think it was, from bottom up:
plain paper
tan teflon sheet
vinyl op
transfer down
cover whole vinyl with the transfer ( or at leats all of the finished size)
plain paper
1/16" green pad
300 deg. F. for anywhere from 2-3 minutes
peel cool

No online ordering, sorry. The Wraps and OEM toner work well, especially with the matte glazed mugs (uncoated).
I have not specifically tested the engravable plastic, but HDPE (high density polyethylene) is the only plastic tested so far that doesn't work. They should be no problem I am thinking.
