OK Kids, (of all ages) :-)
I spoke to the Special Events person at "The Beach".
Here's what they can do for a private party of 50 (or so):
Three or four hors d'oeuveres, served buffet style, including soft drinks, with free refills, for $15.00 per person.
Every man/woman for themselves alcohol-wise.
Plenty of comfortable seating, in a private room, with pool table and a P.A., in case any announcements need to be made.
What's your consensus? Sound appealing?
If you have any questions, please let me know and I'll enquire within. :-)
I think the last party was scheduled for 3 or 4 hours, but they weren't kicking anyone out for lingering.

I have been there a few years ago for a DSSI party - and would strongly recommend that we do this! You will save money in the long run compared to Quarks. I love Quarks but with the number of people we are talking about this place would be much better!!!!!!!!!! You got my vote man!!!!!
Give me an address to send the money to - my check is in the mail. ;-)

No doubt about it. The party will be "Boss". Totally "Groovy".
I guess those terms came a little after the Beach Blanket movies.
The only clams, will be those you spend while in Vegas. :-)

Barry, the Events Coordinator, said three or four selections. I'll find out what the choices are.
I remember one dish, at the DSSI party, being "Smothered Chicken", which made me think, there must surely be a more humane way of killing a chicken. :-)

"The Beach" is located directly across the street from the LV Convention center, at 365 Convention Center Drive, Las Vegas.

We're staying at the Embassy Suites this time...I guess the Hilton was already full of country bumpkins! They said they couldn't take us again this year.
It's just 29 days & counting! Hoooty Hooooooo!!!!!

I think its a great idea to head over to The Beach. Much easier to mingle. Which night are you talking about? If its Thursday, count me in. Do we send check ahead or pay at the door?

For all of you who do not know Rolf is a big spender each afternoon at the trade show floor ICE CREAM is rolled out in 2 or 3 locations and Rolf treats us all to a free one. He is such a generous individual. :P

What flavor of Sex Wax do you have? I haven't had any since high school, Sex Wax that is. (devil)
Bring a puck, I don't remember what flavors there are anymore. I think I chewed the fruit punch flavor. The flavor doesn't last long but then again you are supposed to use it on your stick! Get your minds out of the gutter your stick is your surfboard! (devil)
