Full Version: Need trophy supplier

We do a lot of awards, but precious few trophies. Most of what we supply is in the form of plaques and glass blocks. We simply don't market ourselves as a "trophy company", and really don't want to get into that part of the industry any more than we have to.
I'm looking for someone to provide me with trophies on a wholesale basis.
Quantities per order/design will be low, but I have several local school accounts that want to use me for their awards this year. It seems that my local competition has forgotten the meaning of "customer service", leaving LOTS of room for me to work in.
I have ordered trophies from Tropar, but their selection of trophies is very limited...and one of my customers wants a "simple" trophy that's much bigger than what Tropar carries.
Here's what I'm looking for in a current order:
1) Something with 3 or 4 columns with the lightening black design.
2) Wood veneer base assembly.
3) Male & female figures at top.
4) 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Consolation trophies (sized accordingly) in boys & girls divisions (total of 8 trophies).
5) 1st place should be about 3' tall, and Consolation should be about 2' tall.
My delivery for this order will be in November, so I don't need these items immediately...but I do need to get pricing put together soon.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Bob,
Several wholesale companies will make your trophies, like
The Source (Wholesale Trophies) in Alabama www.thesource-wti.com
Dern Trophy in Ohio www.dern-trophy.com
I think Claytex in TX also will -
I, like you mentioned, do WAAAAAAAAAAY too many trophies.

Pete,

Where's that list of supplier/competitors that was mentioned awhile back???

John,
The issue with listing suppliers who compete against us is, how do we confirm that information? Ask the supplier, in which case, they may deny the fact, or go by actual customer's experience?

Dave,
Let me jump in with my opinion.
Experience should have the final say.
When experience is not available, ask.
(The question can always be posed as a retail customer needing work.)
