Brian,

I'll send that info to John, to determine what, if anything, needs to be removed.

Getting closer to the solution. :-)

Brian,

I know absolutely nothing about the coding needed, but yours looks totaly different than mine

here is what my coding looks like:

John<br />

<a href="mailto:creativeawards@msn.com"><a href="mailto:creativeawards@msn.com"><a href="mailto:creativeawards@msn.com"><a href="mailto:creativeawards@msn.com">creativeawards@msn.com</a></a></a></a>

Brian,

John Fish didn't spot anything unusual in your signature code. He said those kinds of glitches can be "conditional."

We just don't know what those exact conditions could be.

If the problem persists, I'd suggest "throwing darts" at variations of the signature, until the error message doesn't appear.

Not a cure; just a suggestion. :-$

Brian,

I hate to see you go without a signature altogether.

Why not add the components, incrimentally, until you figure out what the offending code was?

I will....I just don't have time to play with it right now.....Give me some time....I'll get it fixed up :)

Try this instead.

<div class="sig"><p>Thanks,</P>
<p>Brian Genrich</p>
<p><b><font color="#ff0000">Rallye Productions Inc.</font></b></p>
<p><b>1-800-236-2036 x112</b><br>
<i>Custom cut, or sheet stock Sublimatable metal,<br>
Screen printing, and other digital print services. </i></div>

I took out the weird <br /> and changed it to <br> instead. It looks good in Dreamweaver.

Even with HTML disabled it is altering my post. The way to do it is whereever there is a "<br />" replace it with "<br>"

Now lets see if it allows this edit to stay.

The pages on this forum use XHTML, so <br /> is the official form for that tag. The older <br> is from HTML.

I was linking that maybe the editor didn't want to allow the DIV tag or class attribute.

Thanks Harvey,

I will try it on this reply to your post....

Well it looks the same, but won't let me edit..... so I guess it's the same problem.

I will play with it after hours....Been pretty buried here.

Thanks for the suggestion,

Brian

Geez, that is the very basic HTML. Weird.

New development.....

I just tried editing a post over on DSSI. I use the exact same code for my signature over there....I had no problem at all. I wonder if it's a version issue.

Brian,

Very possible. As a Mac user, I can't use the "quote" or editing options on v.4 (DSSI) but I can here (v.5).

We're considering going to Beehive v.6, but until we're sure the search feature bugs are handled, I'm reluctant, although I do want to keep up with the latest software.
