The award is for outstanding community involvement and volunteerism. Dave won-out, over 4 other nominees.
Next stop, is onto Washington D.C., where Dave will be up against about 95 other recipients of the Jefferson Award, from other regions of the U.S., with a possibility of receiving one of several other awards.
In the past, Dave has served on the education committee of ARA.
Another example of Dave's community involvement is, after 6 years as a Board Member of the United Way, he'll be sworn in as Chairman of the organization, July 1st of this year.
I forgot to mention the name of Dave's business. It's Trophies Etc., in Camarillo, CA
As you can see, Dave's been a good influence. :-)
