David: I have some catalogs with crystal apples at the shop. I'm not at the shop. Tomorrow, if I don't forget, I'll look some up. Some are in California, some outside. I'll get back to you.

Thank you Ed.
I rarely ever use glass, so I don't have those catalogs. Would appreciate any info.
All the best,

David,
Did you find a source for the crystal apples. We have a bunch of faceted crystal apples(no area to engrave) in inventory if you need them

Cindy & Dave,
Thank you for the leads. I'll take a look at the glass graphics site. The faceted apple sounds pretty cool.
I have a (local) friend of mine, who does a lot of etching, looking into what is available through his suppliers. I'll probably go with him.
I appreciate your help.
Thanks again,

Dave,
Could your faceted apples be mounted to a crystal, or optic crystal base?
The reason I ask, is there's a fair amount of copy that needs to be etched on a base. The customer wasn't too keen on a marble base.
What size are the apples? The customer is looking for something very feminine and high-end. At least high-end looking.
Any pics of the apple on your web site?
Thanks,

David,
http://www.glassbydgn.com/product.htm Go to gifts and it is under paperweights. We paid $9 and $13, make us an offer.
This picture is better than the one in the catalog. The smaller one is 2 inchs, the larger is 2.5. Thought we had more, but we have 6 large and 2 small. the both have a flat bottom, so they can be glued.
Hope this helps.
Dave

Dave,
Got the email from Lynn, saying the apple is on its way.
$13!! I was hoping you'd charge more.
Oh well. I'll just have to get even with you next time we meet up :-)

That's what we like about FedEx; you pay for 3 day and you get it in 1 or 2 days. UPS has it sit in their terminal when a package get there early.

Dave,
I rarely ship. When I do, it's through UPS.
Sounds like FedEx is worth a second look.

Dave,
The picture of your apple didn't do it justice. The picture looked like a round piece with the stem on top. It's actually a very nice "apple" shape.
I didn't have time to take a pic of the finished product, but it was VERY impressive. The apple was adhered atop a 2.5" crystal cube, which contained the wording.
In your/Lynn's email, you mentioned that you're not stocking the apples anymore because you moved away from the "Apple Capitol of The World."
I'll tell you what - at $13 per apple (your cost) you have a screamin' teachers gift. The award I presented was for a teacher leaving a college.
