If you do a lot of shipping by UPS you may qualify for free things like a label printer or even a whole computer system.

If your shipping charges run about $3000 a month you may qualify for a complete free computer system.

The way it works is they give you a computer allowance or other equipment to spend at selected sites like Dell and Gateway. You then have 3 years to meet the specified amount on UPS shipping charges in the contract. If you don't meet the minimum you will need to settle up by paying an amount.

You can increase the credit to your account by giving your ups # to suppliers for incoming packages. If you do much ASI direct ship to customers you can have that credited to your UPS account also.

The UPS rep came by today and I signed up for our second free computer system with monitor and scale. Our shipping is so high the amount to satisfy the contract will be met in under 6 months.

Hey... how did you get a second machine? We ship at least 5000 packages a day and only have one machine. We pay based upon how many trailers we fill (volume) rather than per package, that may be why.

It wasn't at the same time.
The first one was over 5 years ago. It was a Gateway that never did work right.

The new program had about a $1500 allowance. You then have to spend about $150,000 in shipping over the next 2 years. That is about 4-6 months for us. Most of that isn't even shipped from here. Most is from the fulfillment warehouse and asi dropships billed to us. I don't know if they have limits, but I understood once that is satisfied you can get other things you need within reason.

If you don't have an exclusive agreement now, you can just start talking to some other companies and let them know and they might change their mind. But it sounds like the trailer rate is a big discount so maybe they aren't worried about a better deal.

That makes more sense now, yeah they replace ours every year, of course we probably spend 10k dollars a day with them so it's a little different story. Thanks for the response
