Full Version: Corel Master Page puzzle

I generally use Corel 9 but also X3.

There has to be a way I am missing. I set up a master page but want it not to show on page one. That way I can have a title page, then a master format. I was able to do this and a few other helpful things in Publisher, (I think), 20 years ago. It would not work when the 286's came out and then came Corel as the standard.

Any ideas on what I have missed?

The other wonderful piece of that old program was that you could set up a frame, similar to a paragraph text box, and insert a grouped object in between other grouped objects and they would shift to make room. Similar to inserting a paragraph of text.

This was wonderful for my logo book and such. I would take the image and the name below it, put it inside a outline-less box and insert it in alphabetical order and everything would shift properly. Not so in Corel.

Are you comparing a desktop publishing program to a drawing program with text capabilities? (A database can be created in both a spreadsheet and a database program; the program of choice depends on what you're doing.)

It was touted as a publishing program, much lacking at that time, but a lot of powerful stuff also. Corel is not that good as a publishing program, but is what I have. I just wish...
