Is there a fast easy way to notch corners? I know how to round corners, but can't get it to let me notch them.

OOHHH it is one of those days. :-$  Sorry, I was working on a rectangle.

I found a long way around, by converting another design I had. So I am working with that, BUT, I would still like to know ....if there is a way easier then I used, to notch corners of the rectangle tool.

Thanks for asking. :-)

aalen,

I wasn't following the bouncing ball. I thought you had a metal fabrication question and I wondered what "corner punch" you were using.

Didn't realize it was a Corel question.

I'll go away now. :-$

Aleta;

Notch or chamfer? If you know how to round the corners of a rectangle, do that and then convert the rounded rectangle to curves. Then use the shape tool to convert the corner radii to lines. That will give you a chamfer.

If you need a notch, use the shape tool to add a point (double-click on the line) and position the new node to form a notch.

HTH.

If you do alot of Scallops, Chamfers & Fillets, there is a plugin for corel version 10 and up http://www.oberonplace.com/products/curveworks/index.htm that automates the process quick & easy!

Corel X3 has a Chamfer, fillet, scallop tool built in now, you can find it in
>WINDOW>DOCKERS
