Full Version: X3, space between text lines

I have some artistic text (about 10 lines) that I USED to be able to select, then go to the properties and adjust the vertical spacing. As in, I could make the space between each line greater or less by adjusting one value one time.

Now with X3, when I adj the "vertical shift" it just moves the entire selection up or down as a whole (why I would choose that instead of moving the object I don't know.

also, if I select the top line and shift it up, it works OK, then when I select the second one and shift it up, it doesn't also move the top line, it only shifts the second line up. So to compensate, i have to first select the top line then shift, then select the first AND second, then shift... all the way to the bottom.

Any hints on streamlining this? Choosing a larger font isn't an option in this case because I don't want to mess with the width.

If I correctly understand what you want to do here is an easy way.
Select the text using the shape tool.
At the bottem (left I think) grab the handle and move it up.
Hope this is what you need.

Bluepaw answered your question about how to increase the interline spacing.

Shift moves the text in relation to the baseline. You can raise the 'c' in McAfee upward using 'shift'.

That's IT... thanks.

And Harvey, thanks for the tip.

If you want to change the line spacing in X3 click on text and paragraph formatting then line spacing.

For moving individual characters select the text then use the shape tool to highlight the letter. You canmove it with the tool or digitally from the toobar.
