Hi James,
That is a long time to keep a wife waiting :-) I haven't decided what I'm going to do. Our business has been to create High-Profit product designs and the Doll House, I fear, will confuse people on what we offer.

My thinking is, (hopefully you can follow my untrained thought), when you first get a cell phone the company will give you all kinds of freebies to sign a contract. When you open a large Bank account you get to pick from a toaster or such. The customer who is still your customer gets nothing, actually in the cell phone case sometimes their stuck with higher monthly fees. I was thinking why not award your current customers with a monthly fun project. This is what I'm leaning to if I can create understandable instructions :S

I had someone in the shop suggest I use the plans to give away at the trade shows in exchange for business cards and e-mail addresses for future contacts, but I'm leaning more to my original idea.

I am working on another house plan that was supposed to be simpler, less wood, easier to assemble. I failed, it is now over 300 pieces, three stories with stairs again, and even a second floor wrap around porch, I just can't control myself. When I get it finished I'll post a picture.

I don't like to see a child disappointed (in this case your wife) If you go to our website and e-mail me I'll send you my first house I built, (I made plans for this one, it was made for an architect) with little effort I believe you can redesign it into a Doll House.

Bachi,
I do not have instructions made for the Doll House as of yet. I will be sharing designs in the future, I'm just not sure how and when.

When I was younger I built a model house and the furniture to go in it. Back in those days I had to cut my own shingles and floorboards. That picture is making me want to start building again. If only I had the free time.

I understand free time, RR time. Some people go bowling, fishing, etc. others like me just cannot leave the shop to get our rest & relaxation. I spent way to many after hours making this, BUT!!!

You should have seen the face on the adorable 3 year old when I gave the house to her.

You HAVE TO stop showing us these really cool 3-D toys! I don't have a laser, can't really afford a laser, and other than to make your 3-D toys, have not immediate need for a laser.....so why am I dreaming of buying a laser?

So, Please do not EVER make these patterns available....it would cost me oh, so much money! :-)  :-)  (devil)

I have finished the instructions for the latest house design, I'm going to bring it with me to the Indianapolis NBM show to see what the reaction is.

Do you think laser owners would want to make these products to sell??

Well, I don't know about anyone else but I do. LOL I think they would be great sellers. People just don't make nice dollhouses like this (at least in my area) anymore.

And with the ability to customize the design to say, put a house number or the person's last name on it. You bet!!

My mother in law even collects dolls and said this would make a fantastic addition to her display. (She does a lot of Victorian dolls)

Now, with the laser time and assembly time involved, could we make it and still price it to be affordable, that's another question. It may be an item that is a "special gift" for friends and family members.
But I think it would be a great conversation piece as well as a play piece for little girls

Becky thanks for the feedback.

I read somewhere you could use an item or something to help you out. :-)

How about you helping me to see if the instructions work for this 3 story house. The first one will take the longest to make, but there are shortcuts that are hard to explain in the instructions.

If you'd like to help me by being the testor (or would that be the testee?), please e-mail and I can get you the pattern to get started. Then call me for shortcuts or questions.

Sorry, this offer is just for Becky :S
