You HAVE TO stop showing us these really cool 3-D toys! I don't have a laser, can't really afford a laser, and other than to make your 3-D toys, have not immediate need for a laser.....so why am I dreaming of buying a laser?

So, Please do not EVER make these patterns available....it would cost me oh, so much money! :-)  :-)  (devil)

I have finished the instructions for the latest house design, I'm going to bring it with me to the Indianapolis NBM show to see what the reaction is.

Do you think laser owners would want to make these products to sell??

Well, I don't know about anyone else but I do. LOL I think they would be great sellers. People just don't make nice dollhouses like this (at least in my area) anymore.

And with the ability to customize the design to say, put a house number or the person's last name on it. You bet!!

My mother in law even collects dolls and said this would make a fantastic addition to her display. (She does a lot of Victorian dolls)

Now, with the laser time and assembly time involved, could we make it and still price it to be affordable, that's another question. It may be an item that is a "special gift" for friends and family members.
But I think it would be a great conversation piece as well as a play piece for little girls

Becky thanks for the feedback.

I read somewhere you could use an item or something to help you out. :-)

How about you helping me to see if the instructions work for this 3 story house. The first one will take the longest to make, but there are shortcuts that are hard to explain in the instructions.

If you'd like to help me by being the testor (or would that be the testee?), please e-mail and I can get you the pattern to get started. Then call me for shortcuts or questions.

Sorry, this offer is just for Becky :S

Becky,
I'm anxious to hear if you had any problems with the directions to put the Doll House together or I should say did you figure out my assembly instructions?
Second, how did the house turn out and what response did you get from the family?

Buzz, You are a truely amazing craftsman and you must have equally amazing patience.
I also checked out your website. Nice items and very reasonably priced.

Thanks Bill, watch for the new design I will be sending to Harvey to download. I almost sent it out last week but I haven't had time to check the assembly directions for errors. I think I'll release it as is and let everyone get puzzeled from the directions:-)

Once I get all the feedback on what to correct then I can make the changes, I have one person who contacted me to offer instructional writing help in exchange for designs, sounds good to me since I find that is the hardest part.

I tend to overlook the necessary instructions needed. My analogy is like teaching a person to drive a standard, I would tell them to shift to second when you hit about twenty miles an hour and forget to tell them to push in the clutch. >.<

Hey, I just wanted to say it was GREAT! meeting many of you at the NBM trade show in Indy. The positive things you all had to say made me feel good, I think if we all heard those type of comments each day (at least me) we would smile all the time :-)

I was going to send Harvey my F-15 fun project for download, but I have someone Beta testing the assembly instructions before I release it. The person said he should have it done by the end of this week.

The doll houses were a big hit. The NBM trade show consists of many retail shops and several of them wanted the doll houses for themselves, I was shocked to get offers over $100.00, I think my toilet design is what they really wanted ;-)

I had one of my customers work the booth with me to handle any wholesale orders and he is going to make the doll houses for them. I ended up deciding to sell the pattern to several laser owners. I still have to perfect the assembly instructions.

Once again thanks for stopping by to say hi. At my next trade show in Baltimore I plan on having a special CD with sample patterns just for EE members who stop by. Everyone at EE seems to be very appreciative and that makes it fun for me. Hope to see you there.
