Full Version: Desperate for Housewives

I really screwed up and I will be grateful is someone can help me out. My parents went out of town and my mother asked if I would record desperate Housewives for her while she was gone. I forgot to do it, so now I am asking everyone I know, and many people I have never met before, if they have a tape of last nights show (5-21-06). If anyone has a tape they could copy for me, I would gladly cover all your expenses for sending it to me. My email address is jimjarecki at aol dot com

Sincerest thanks,
Jim

I can send you a DVD if that's acceptable (that's actually easier for me than sending a tape)

Pete,

Of course she knows I am a screw up. Afterall, I make my living as an engraver.

Maybe a good Christmas gift for your mom would be a TIVO. Rather than just setting it up to record a show each time on VCR, you can set it to automatically record every week at the same time and channel. I personally do not have one, but I have two friends who virtually live by them.

A TIVO is a great idea for them, but I have tried to get them one in the past and they insisted they didn't want it. I appreciate the suggestion and maybe I will just surprise them with it this year.

Thanks,
Jim

LOL, that's funny. I was fully prepared to take a fair amount of abuse (good natured) for this request, but it hasn't really happened. At least not yet.

I haven't ever actually seen Desperate Housewives, but I really goofed once by making a reference to it while I was in a meeting at a very large Baptist Church. I suggested that the TV monitors in the nursery were so the nursing mothers could sneak out of the Sunday evening service to watch Desperate Housewives. They saw absolutely no humor in that. They are an intense bunch, but they spent over $25K with me last year, so they are now my favorite church.

Thanks for the laugh,
Jim
