On another forum it was announced that Larry LaPrise the composer of the Hokey Pokey recently died at the age of 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into his coffin. They put his left leg in...

Larry actually died 4 April 1996.....

The song was written in the '40s (last century!) for the Sun Valley, Idaho crowd.
