Full Version: How much for recycled trophy plates??

The same lady who orders a different trophy (resin) for each award brought in 10 resins to recycle so they just need new plates. There was a total of 30 trophies to this order, including 10 recycled.

Now the question...

On the recycled trophies my first thought was to add 3.00 for the plates
on those...is that to high???

Normally I just 3x markup and throw in the engraving on the plates on these type trophies (for the new ones she ordered).

But because of the hassle factor of having to spend more time choosing different ones, more time measuring each one and figuring out what goes where I added 1.50 for each plate on the new ones I ordered for her.

Oh I forgot to mention I sublimated the plates.

When I had my retail store, if someone brought in something to be recycled, I would charge 2-3 times my normal charge. You have to figure all the time you have to spend on removing the plate, clean-up, measuring and then doing a new plate.

Sprinter is on the right track.

I would charge the full price that you would charge for the plates as a separate order. Use whatever you would discount that price to cover removing the old plates.
