Glenn,

There seems to be some kind of pattern to your moving about. It's good that you always seem to end up back here in Texas!

Not exactly, it wasn't a voluntary move but on the whole MO may be better than a few other places. My wife likes St. Louis and didn't like Columbus. I, naturally, carefully weighed my options and decided to stay in St. Louis.

hmmmm.. and I was thinking about buying a cutting grid from you. But, now I have to think harder about that. Hard for Penn State fans to buy from OSU or Meecheegen people. LOL

PS.. why would you name your team after a poisonous nut??

From Wikipedia:
The fruit is a round or oblong spiny capsule 4-5 cm diameter, containing 1-2 nut-like seeds, 2-3 cm diameter, brown with a whitish basal scar. The fruit is poisonous to humans, but often eaten by squirrels.

From luckymojo.com:
When i lived in Missouri, back in the 1970s, i met several boys and men who told me that they kept buckeye nuts in their pockets as a "lucky piece." The "doctrine of signatures" -- the magical belief that items from nature reveal their purpose or usefeulness by their shape, colour, or markings -- may be what gives buckeyes their status as pocket pieces among men, for by "luck," they mean good fortune in sexual matters, and buckeyes certainly recall in miniature the idealized, smooth, beautiful, firm testicles of men.

Bieb:

I knew that it was a lucky piece. Kids used to wear them around their neck on a string or carry them in their pockets.

Carvers like the wood as it is smooth grained and white.

But I never knew the folklore. maybe if I had known that I could have made a lot of money marketing them.

They still play pretty good football now and then.
