Full Version: Making text go up and down

Is there an easy way to change the orientation of the text. I'm trying to make it look like:
T
H
I
S

without hitting return after each letter...I would also want to center each letter on the one above it...so the I is't left justified...

Thanks for your help!

Mike

Save this like the others, C:\Program Files\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 13\Draw\GMS

Then run it, it just has an OK and a cancel. I should have done it without a user form, but I basically just tweaked my Font Sizer program.

I didn't check it in 12 this time, only X3.

It put a carriage return, linefeed (vbCrLf) after each letter, then makes the alignment Centered.

Let me know if it doesn't work

Mike;

You can also do it using "Fit Text to Path". Here goes for version 12 of CorelDraw:

1) draw a vertical line EXTRA long.
2) separately type in your string of text.
3) select the text and then shift-select the line
4) Under Text select Fit text to path.
5) The text will be fit to the line Vertically.
6) On the text property bar that should now be visible, select the bottom item in the "ABC" dropdown. This should orient the text vertically.

7) You can change the spacing by going to the shape tool and then selecting the text.
8) Click on the lower right handle (not sure what it's called) and drag it to the right a SMALL distance. Adjust accordingly.

HTH.
