Full Version: Favorite Suppliers (JDS)

There has been a good bit of discussion recently about bad service from different vendors. I am in the middle of trying to straighten out a mess with a particular vendor which has made me even more thankful for the good suppliers. Do you have a short list of vendors that you know will come through every time? Mine are,

JDS (I buy a lot from them)
Tropar (Consistently good quality)
Johnson Plastics (First class)
ClayTex (Good quality, and right here in good old Texas)

I can get 1 day shipments from all but JDS but that is not their fault, I just live too far away.

Add Catania to that list.

These folks have bent over backwards for me. The owner, Vince Frank, talks to me like I'm the only customer he'll ever have.

Great products and service!

You are right. I should have put Catania on my list also. One time I was short on time to complete an order and called them late one afternoon to get some stock medals. It usually takes 3 days shipping time from Ohio. As late as it was I knew they would not be shipped until the next day so I was going to really be under the gun. I mentioned my deadline while I was placing the order. I don't know how they did it but I got the medals in 2 days. It was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. I took the time to call them and let them know they had saved the day.

...Thats funny, I said "ONE TIME" I was short on time.

You're right...that IS funny!

Catania is only the second medal manufacturer that we've used. As long as their quality doesn't plummet, or their prices skyrocket, we'll be calling them again and again.

We should consider our non-inventory suppliers in this, too. How about the people who sold you the engraving equipment you use? I could write a book about the times my "supplier" has come through for me in the last couple of years.

Anyone wanna venture a guess as to who I'm referring to??? B-)

Thanks to all who have mentioned

Johnson Plastics, I concur!

Please add to the list:
Tower Ribbons
Liberty Supply Co., Inc.
Barhill Manufacturing

Yes, I represent all four companies, if they didn't qualify in this discussion, I would not be working with them. There are many, many more....makes me proud of our industry!!

Tom
