On your desktop try going into 'My Controls' where the settings are, and just click on save. It is possible that your preferences are saved on the computer and got messed up. I had a few strange things happen and this trick worked.
Your preferences are stored on the forum, but I believe the computer has a copy that it uses. 'Save' resaves those preferences to your computer. Going into your preferences seems to get the info from the forum's storage.
If it really works that way it is a very good piece of software.
