Full Version: Strange-looking text

Howdy y'all!

I've just recently started seeing very ugly text on one of my computers in CorelDRAW. The text looks very pixelated and nasty on the screen, but is fine in print. It's so bad that 18 pt text is unreadable on an 8.5" x 11" page when viewing at "zoom to page" magnification.

The best description I can offer is that it looks like the letters have been partially eaten away by acid. I don't know why that image came to mind, but that's how it looks to me.

It also seems like a bad .bmp image.

The problem seems to be confined to CD...checked other packages (such as Office products), and they're all okay.

I did a screen print into Word...I'll attach it here. If you zoom in to 200% in Word, it will give you a better idea of what my characters look like on my screen.

Has anyone else seen this before?

Cody,

Since you are running X3, change the display within CD.

Click on "VIEW" then choose "ENHANCED"

That will clear up the text for you.

John,

Thank you for saving what's left of my sanity.

I used "wireframe" for a project a few days ago, and I changed it to "normal" when I was done. That's about the time I noticed the ugly letters.

Again, thank you very much for your help!

Cody
