Full Version: Need help ASAP - Corel

Hi everyone - I'm using Corel 12 and have made the attached cutting board magnet for a PTA fundraiser. I made the handle with the free hand tool and the body of the cutting board with the rectangle tool.

I need to delete the left edge of the rectangle so my laser won't vector that line out and therefore, cut the 'neck' of the cutting board off. I can't figure out how to do this - if it can even be done.

Please help!! Thank you!

Can you select both objs and use Weld?

Here is one way to do it.

1. Using the file you uploaded, make sure your Object Manager is open.
2. Select the 3rd item from the top. Curve-Fill Black, Ouline None
3. Delete it.
4. Ungroup the 2 objects (handle)
5. While the two lines are still selected Close Path with straight line.
6. Select your rectangle in the Oject Manager and give it a black outline.
7. Rectangle is still selected, SHIFT and select "handle"
8. Arrange, Shaping, Weld

I was able to do it by replacing your rectangle with an identical one and then using the virtual segment delete. I don't know why it would not work with your rectangle but it kept deleting the whole rectangle.
