Where would you go to get to the first message in this thread that was 4 months ago?? Now I am confused...

I went to the link Identified by David

Where did you not go?

http://www.coreldrawpro.com/Library/CP-1006.pdf

Was the link, I think. >.<

David,

Now that I have a laptop and a wireless network at home, I am much more inclined to subscribe to e-books of interest. Prior to using this technology, it would be a definite no for me.

Nothing beats sitting back, kicking up the feet, and reading a good ol' printed book or trade magazine. The flexibility that new technology is offering makes e-books an attractive option.

I do subscribe to this e-zine, but I don't like NOT having it in print. I usually read them at home or when I travel.............. I don't have time to sit at my computer to read things like that - but on the other hand, with the links available on-line, it is a wealth of information.

Good thing / Bad thing I guess....................

John,

I apologize. I came across the latent thread, while looking for something else and got curious as to if anyone was subscribing.

I should have included the link in my second post, knowing the first post wouldn't be visible to those who had read it months ago. :-$

Ruben,

Thank you for that review.

I see you made it home from Vegas in one piece. It was nice hanging out with you again.

I'm getting a lot more sleep, now that I'm back in California. :-)

John,

My wife won't let me take the laptop into the porcelain palace.. She is afraid she won't ever see me again! :S

The first message in the thread is dated Oct 4 - it had the link to the e-magazine.

The message I replied to is dated Feb 28..................... and did not have a link in it.

That makes 4+ months.

I did not realize the 2nd message was referring to the October message. I took it as a new subject. :B

You're Welcome David.

David, yea it was nice hanging out with you also, I had a great time.

I feel sorry for you since you haven't got much sleep the night before,
but I did not want to let go the opportunity of hanging out with you again :D

Yes David, fortunately I did make it in one piece, well I said that I will sleep for some minutes before I took off, well those minutes turn out to be hours, any way it was Sunday and I was still feeling the Vegas effects back in California, maybe We need to do it more often to get used to it. >.<

I'm glad that you're recovering. :D

Either that, or quit altogether, which doesn't sound like much fun. :-)

Ruben,

You've got a deal. I don't think I could survive that much fun, more than once a year.

See you then, if not before. :-)

No problem,

I just did not think to look at the message number as I had caught up all messages before leaving for Vegas and then I saw this and thought it was a totaly new thread...............

My other half always says I am wired a little differently and think down a different stream than everyone else.... I guess this was one of those times. :/

If we weren't in different parts of the country, I'd say we're married to the same person. :-)

Has anyone subscribed to this e-magazine?

If so, what's your impression?

David,

I have a subscrition to it due to having a subscription to the hard copy version.
It is pretty much the same excellent content with some links added. I have always enjoyed it when it was Recognition Pro.

Sadly *MY* reading style does not lend itsself to electronic format so I probably will not renew. I like to be able to walk away from the computer from time to time....and I like the tactile feel of a magazine in my hand...sometimes I like to sit in the jacuzzi with a drink and read...something I cannot do with my computer...I also tend to read more in the "library" but again, I'm not taking my computer "there" either. Chuck,

We're getting some good feeback here. I spoke to Mike Neer at the ARA show and commended him for being, what I see as, ahead of the curve.

I suspect us "old timers" prefer a hard copy of the magazine, but judging by what I'm seeing of the youngsters, they're hyper-connected and would prefer to get their info online.

We'll see.

Chuck,

I also start with them when they used to be Recognition Pro, and like you
I like to take a hard copy with me to read, what I do now if there is an article or whatever there is of interest I print out just those pages,
since there is an option of just printing the pages you want in Adobe Reader.

Now in positive side of being electronic, one is that I have less crowded desk or shelfs with Mags/Catalogs, another is, they are easier to find and organize.

I already renew with them.
