Mark,

Your original thread, on the same topic, went far enough off-course, to where I'll leave this one up. Normally, we'll remove a duplicate post.

You may want to consider making our members a "deal that can't be beat, anywhere else" (exclusive offer) and in exchange, receive a free banner ad, which would be placed in our "Special Deals" section, located at the top of this page.

Food for thought.

I would like to publicly thank mark & Patricia from Artistic Laser.

I sent him an E-mail asking if I could get some of his granite to test out and dial in the power and speed settings for our equipment.

I received a package from them and at first glance the product is beautiful very black polished on both front and back and the sides.

Very nice !!! I will be looking for the perfect picture to put onto the granite and will have the settings used to engrave it with in the next couple of days.

I will post a picture and the settings once completed.

Again thank you Mark & Patricia!

Hi Mike,
I have also requested some of the granite. I would love to specialize in more granite than marble. It is beautiful when done properly.
They responded to my email request right away along with the price list, and I just had a customer come in asking for a granite memorial for his cat.
I wanted to wait to try some of this out before ordering, but I might have to bite the dust and order with just his referrals coming back.
So far, if his product is like his personality, and promptness, then he has me for a customer.

I do mostly photographs in my store, and want to offer the best and most consistent granite that I can. This finally seems to be my answer.

Mark,

Here are a couple of pics that we did on your granite. It works the same as most granite we have used however yours is very nicely finished. I think you have a very good product. I would love to test out your Marble as well.

Of course we had to photograv the files we used power 20 speed 65 250 ppi and 250 DPI using a 30 watt laser system.

New Granite photo attached. I recommend it highly.
Very nice detail and looks as good as marble.
The owners are very nice to deal with, and it's nice to have a professional product for your work. It comes polished on all sides and is lovely.

We NEVER take great suppliers for "granite"..... ;-)

Just out of curiosity, has anyone engraved granite using a rotary system instead of laser or sand blasting?
