Which filter are you using to import the EPS files? If you haven't tried already, you should try the "PS, PRN, EPS - Postcript Interpreted" filter when importing EPS files.

When you are really struggling with something and someone offers you an on the spot solution..it's always WAAAAY cool!!!
But it is a nice feature and one I know I could have used in the past as well. The capabilities of this program will never cease to amaze me.!!
