Full Version: Vinyl Cutter

When I did some vinyl cutting I used FlexiSign. It has a lot more cutting features than Corel.

For Gravostyle98 you will have to find out if they have a driver specifically for that cutting machine.

The corners can be quite square with most plotters if they are set up right and have a sharp blade. Lettering 1/4" tall and smaller are a problem, not only in cutting but in weeding also. At that size there is very little stick to the backing and the plotter can pull the letters off as you cut them. Weeding is a nightmare due to that same reason.

Brian,

The Golden Goose is still alive. :-P

That was only one of their locations. Still more water in that well. :-)

They loved the label you made.

Thanks again,

When I make a square in corel draw or procut the cutter makes it perfectly square. It's mostly a what you see is what you get with a plotter/cutter, a circle comes out a circle, a square comes out a square with my cutters but can't say for other plotter/cutters. (my Roland is both a plotter and a cutter. You can use it to draw it out and see what it will look like before cutting if you want to.)

Hi Gilbert
I have a Mimaki CG61.
I am going to buy the new Roland SP-300 solvent
ink printer/cutter .
I don't know for sure when I am going to make the purchase, but
it will probably not be until January.
If you don't bind one and are interested in this one let me
know.
It is several years old, but it works great.
The cutter blade holder is wearing a bit, but I just order a new
one yesterday - ($190.00 for a blade holder from Mimaki, isn't
that terrible. But no other blade hold will work.)

But I am living in the Netherlands, bit far away !!
I will buy Graphtec this year.

Seems that Gravostyle 98 what I use has driver for it
