Maybe top an award off with a pumpkin resin? Should be something left over from the Halloween/Thanksgiving stock.

Jim,
The idea of Steves is really not that far fetched. If you look at some of the "other" sport trophies you will see "baseball head" "baskeball head" "volleyball head" figures of all sorts.

So, get yourself a resin trophy figure of a runner, put a resin pumpkin on it over it's head and away you go. Mount it to a "wall sconce" type of plaque large enough to engrave on ( or make your own) and you might have a winner.

Good luck let us know how it turns out.

Interesting idea, I'll work on it.
Thanks,
Jim

Jim,

How about a silhouette of a "Pumpkin-head" runner, made of Ikonmetal?

It could be used as an applique on a plaque, or as a standing figure, mounted to a base.

Ikonmetal is very machineable, (by laser, sandblasting, or rotary engraving) comes in a few colors and has some weight to it.

A bit pricey, at over $100 per 12 x 24 sheet, but you asked about something unique. :-)

The "headless horseman" from "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow"* usually had a pumpkin for a head...... google for " headless horseman" and you may get some ideas or go to a craft store like Michaels or JoAnns. They have plenty of small pumpkins left over from the Thanksgiving decorations you can mount on a runner figure.....

*It ISN'T just a legend! He rides up here every year! 8-O
